9/11: Citizenship

As we head into fall, the leaves change as do our outfits, our nation also changes. A reflective and somber moment as we dive into the thralls of September. The eleventh of this very month represents a mournful moment in our nation’s history. Almost anyone over the age of twelve can tell you where they were at that moment, working as usual, driving, or any of the other normal routines but for that moment, America stopped. The whole notion of citizenship changed with that very moment and may never be the same again. Communities rallied behind each other as we defend our great nation against horrific injustices. Friends and loved ones said goodbye as our beloved shipped out to be on the front lines of protection for the United States of America. On behalf of everyone on the Pebble Tossers team, we would like to thank our troops and all brave men and women who boldly protect our country and our freedom. As citizens of this nation, we are responsible for the livelihood of our communities and at Pebble Tossers, we are committed to making Metro-Atlanta a wonderful place to be. With so many nonprofits that are serving the community, Pebble Tossers exists to provide the most necessary of all resources to organizations that need it: volunteers. As a small way to thank our heroes and first responders, Pebble Tossers is planning an event with the Cobb County Safety Village to help sustain and keep this wonderful training facility running for several years to come. Pebble Tossers’ cause area of the month is the commitment to Citizenship and the investment of people to start a ripple of giving in their local communities. How can you start a ripple of giving this month?
